We’re Hiring! – Sales Manager, SQFI North America

Primary Purpose
The Manager, SQFI Sales (North America) will be responsible for delivering assigned revenue targets and profitable growth for the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), a global third-party certification standard.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for driving the entire sales process with prospective customers as well as expansion within existing categories and accounts within North America
- Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Create and maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales
- Work with the SQFI cross-functional team (to include the SQFI Marketing and Business Operations teams) as well as other departments within FMI to align sales goals and objectives with customer feedback and needs
- Utilize business analysis throughout the sales process to cultivate a targeted list of categories, suppliers, and companies and recognize revenue opportunities that drive sales for SQFI solutions
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop effective sales and marketing materials

Physical Requirements
- Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, fax, copier machines, etc.)
Education Skills Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics or another related field
- At least three to five years of sales experience within the food/consumer products industry
- Must have a solid understanding of the sales process and dynamics to include generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals
- Must be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills and the ability to sell the SQFI standard in a compelling way
- Industry or related sales experience within the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry
- Must be a strong written and oral communicator who can network within different functions with various levels of leadership within our customer base
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 programs including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of business analytics tools
- Strong customer service and team orientation
- Strong presentation skills are a must
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills
- Self-starter with a high level of intellectual curiosity, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers, FMI employees and other SQFI stakeholders
- Must be an organized, self-directed individual with excellent time and project management skills with an ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 40% of the time to customer meetings, trade shows, FMI events etc. representing the SQFI team in a personable and professional manner to build relationships with certification bodies.
