We’re Hiring! – Business Analytics Manager

Primary Purpose
The Manager, SQFI Business Analytics will be responsible for turning data points into actionable insights and recommendations for SQFI (Safe Quality Food Institute) to operate a profitable global third-party certification standard. The Manager, SQFI Business Analytics will work across the entire SQFI team to effectively conduct data mining and analysis to support the growth of SQFI revenues.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop a new analytical approach to evaluate the performance of SQFI’s U.S. and international business, and when needed, support cross-functional SQFI platforms (including the SQFI IT and Business Operations teams)
- Provide insights on project-based analysis (to include thoroughly examining specific food categories to provide recommendations and solutions)
- Use various predictive analytics techniques (including data mining, statistics, modeling, and artificial intelligence) to analyze current U.S. and global data to make predictions about the future and to provide a framework for solutions to complex problems
- Design, manage and report data results that have a measurable impact on SQFI’s revenue targets. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to management
- Structure and quickly synthesize large volumes of data to develop and deliver actionable business insights for base and incremental business opportunities
- Create metrics that support SQFI strategic business objectives and drive sustainable business results
- Leverage partner databases and other analytic systems to optimize SQFI performance
- Support the sales team in the design and creation of sales presentations and scorecards

Physical Requirements
- Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, fax, copier machines, etc.)
Education Skills Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business (with an emphasis on business analytics), statistics, math or related field
- At least three to five years of relevant work experience in business insights, research, strategy, and/or analytical and data-intensive roles
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Knowledge of business analytics tools
- Ability to work independently and effectively within SQFI’s team-based environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities within SQFI (i.e. Finance, Compliance, Sales and Marketing)
- Strong customer service and team orientation
- Strong presentation skills are a must
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of intellectual curiosity
- Must have a strong business analytic and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and with minimal supervision
- Must be able to travel (locally or out of town) periodically to FMI meetings and other events
